- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to respond to on-call or emergency maintenance situations.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and skills usually acquired through an associate degree in telecommunications or related field or applicable training.
- 5+ years related experience.
- Computer literacy including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and our industry’s billing.
- Knowledge of testing, switching, and electronic equipment, and all types of cable.
- Familiarity with cable records, staking sheets, specifications, and circuit diagrams.
- Understanding of digital technology and preventive maintenance procedures.
What You'll Do
- Install and maintain fiber optic systems
- Perform ONT installations, inside wiring, and multi-line system setups
- Locate, splice, and troubleshoot equipment
- Operate construction equipment and support infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members on projects
- Participate in an on-call rotation for service needs
