Fiber Network Scheduled for Upgrade the week of August 20, 2018
This week Minburn Communications, along with our internet backhaul provider, will be performing upgrades to our fully redundant fiber networks. This maintenance will happen in two phases. Regular upgrades are common and necessary to mitigate security risks and to protect the services we provide.
Phase One: early morning, Tuesday, August 14
Beginning after midnight, our internet backbone provided implemented phase one of the upgrade. Your services should not be affected. However, if you have devices such as security cameras that are connected remotely and use the same IP address, but you do not pay for a static IP, then those devices my be impacted. We encourage you to check your connections. If you experience a problem, please contact the device Help Desk.
Phase Two: early morning, Thursday, August 16
Starting at 12:01 a.m. through 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning, August 6, Minburn Communications will complete phase two of our fully redundant fiber ring upgrade. During this time all Internet connections and services will experience a brief outage. However, once the upgrade transition is complete all conncetions should automatically be restored.
Delivering a reliable, secure and redundant connection that is World-Class is part of our commitment to our customers. If you are a Minburn Communications customer and your Internet service does not automatically reboot after 5:00 a.m. August 16, please disconnect your router from its power source. After 5 second reconnect the router to power. This will prompt the router to reset and after 3 minutes access to your Internet connection should be restored.
