Minburn Communications to Bring Elite Fiber Internet to Dallas Center City Residents

Dallas Center, IA (September 17, 2026) – In 2027, some residents and business customers in the city of Dallas Center will be able to get their internet from Minburn Communications, according to Douglas Pals, the company’s CEO.

“So many city residents of Dallas Center have been asking for this, and we are thrilled to deliver more customers the elite internet they deserve. Customers can sign up now, and our project will start in the spring of 2027,” said Pals. “This project will move much more quickly than our recent rural projects because we already have much of the mainline fiber built throughout the city thanks to a previous project.”

Pals encouraged residents and businesses to look at the build map (which accompanies this story) and review project details on the company website.

“You will see that we are building in phases. The purpose of that is to move from construction to customer installations quickly. That’s good for customers, the city and for us,” said Pals.

“The east/west routes along Vine, Walnut/Ash, which includes both sides of ‘main street,’ and a short stretch along Fairview will be Phase 1. That phase will move quickly because we just need to blow fiber into the conduit that is already in place underground. Normally, mainline construction is what takes the most time. Since the conduit is in place we can move right to splicing and connections to homes, which we call drops. Customer installations will follow.”

Phases 2 and 3 in 2027 will focus on building out to and connecting customers in the Sycamore neighborhood (Phase 2) and the Fairview, Northview, Linden (east of the school), Hickory Court, Elm Court, Oak Court and 8th Street neighborhoods (Phase 3).

Residents in all phases who are interested in fiber internet are encouraged to submit their interest as soon as possible by visiting https://minburncomm.com and clicking “Get Started.” According to Pals, this information will help Minburn Communications understand how many people are interested in service in each area and help guide construction planning and timing.

“If our network is not yet coming to where you live in town, don’t worry. We’re not forgetting about you, and we’d love to hear from you too. Completing the interest form on our website helps us understand where there is demand and where we should look to expand in the years ahead,” stated Pals. “We are grateful for the assistance city leadership has provided us over the past five years, and expanding into the city is how we are demonstrating our gratefulness now that our Empower Rural Iowa projects are complete.”

Minburn Communications staff members will soon begin contacting eligible customers in the build areas to provide information about the project and invite them to sign up for services. Build maps can be found on the company website. Interested customers can visit https://minburncomm.com to learn more and get signed up.

“Not all fiber networks are the same. How a network is built, whether it is underground, how deeply it is buried and the technology used to operate the network matter…a lot. Our elite fiber internet network is worth the wait and our products are as affordable as they are reliable and unlimited; you can ask our existing customers. Customers want a great internet experience, and our elite fiber internet ensures customers get the outstanding internet they deserve,” Pals concluded.

Minburn Communications’ fiber-to-the-home network will provide customers with reliable, ultra-fast internet, as well as TV and phone services. The Minburn Communications fiber network is connected to a 100Gig network, so bandwidth will never be an issue for customers.
